This convening explored how visible or invisible the Latinx, Latino, Latina, Hispanic community is in Tampa Bay. The goal was to elevate our narrative, listen and learn from our history, and promote engagement as we preview issues of disparities, beginning with immigration, health, and education. We invited community voices to cultivate ideas for collective impact towards racial equity.

A healing and community celebration where we asked ¿Y Comó Está Mi Gente? and explored how our community is On the Move y En La Lucha. Some of the key components of this summit included an artist exhibition, a Latinx economic freedom panel, a healing practices roundtable, and a Latinx Film Festival.

Reclamando our Narrative: Healing and Change through the Power of Words, a free workshop series where the Latinx community can claim their stories, promote healing and belonging, and mobilize participation in racial equity, unity, and advocacy. From December 2021 to May 2022, Latinx Writers, ruby pacheco and Rose Cervantes, will create an inclusive space to reflect on every-day experiences, foster dialogue around a shared narrative, and amplify Latinx stories.
