Movida 2025: Reclamando Our Untold Stories

You are invited to a joyful, justice-rooted space where Latine stories, traditions, and futures come together. This event is for all ages and all walks of life. Come out to support, connect, and celebrate Latinx artists, performers, and business owners representing a spectrum of identities, generations, and cultural heritages across the Latine diaspora.

The magic includes: 

Art Exhibition. Experience an exhibition that unfolds as a living timeline, where each artwork corresponds to significant dates, both from broader historical movements and deeply personal moments in the artists' lives. 

Time travel through individual historias into a shared community narrative of love, resilience, and authenticity – a testament to Mi Gente's commitment to uplift voices that deserve to be heard and histories that demand to be remembered.

Live performances. Feel your corazon beat louder and in unison with mi Gente! Join us for some amazing performances by local Tampa Bay poets, dancers, musicians, and other performing creatives!

Vendor Market. Shop local y shop Latino. Countless Latinx creative businesses and entrepreneurs will be selling their handcrafted products and services. 

Family activities like ancestral storytelling and flag making. We can’t promise anything yet, but we’re trying to get some abuelitas in la cocina to show us how it’s really done!

Interactive art and storytelling. Check out multiple stations where you can create, share, and reflect on your own historia.
