we celebrate the 5th annual Movida!
A cultural experience rooted in the arts, community celebration, and collective transformation.
This year’s theme, “Reclamando Our Untold Stories,” honors the lived experiences of our community as sources of wisdom, resilience, and change.
Presented by Mi Gente Mi Pueblo, this year’s Movida exists as a vibrant extension of its Reclamando writing workshop series—an intergenerational space and healing practice where we weave stories as a comunidad.
We channel the energy of a cozy salita where each person has permission to dig deeper in the stories buried at our roots. Through shared unearthing, the magia of words and of our ancestors reveal themselves.
Join us as we share the responsibility and sacred act of remembering, reimagining, and reclaiming our stories. Feel our cultura come to life through art, performance, food, and interactive activities that welcome every voice.
